Recently, a friend asked,
XFP transceiver model or transceiver module A, B What is the meaning of the letter? Today I will tell you about the transceiver A, B-side letters of the true meaning.
First of all,
XFP transceiver according to the number of optical fiber core classification 2, one is single-mode dual-fiber
XFP transceiver, one is single-mode single-fiber XFP transceiver.
We talked about A, B. Only single-mode single-fiber XFP transceivers will be used. Because the single-mode single-fiber transceiver is transmitted through a core fiber, then the transmitter and receiver are transmitted through a fiber core at the same time. In this case, to achieve normal communication must use two kinds of wavelengths of light to distinguish.
So the single-mode single-fiber transceiver optical module has two wavelengths, usually 1310nm / 1550nm, long-distance is 1490nm / 1550nm.
So that a pair of transceiver interconnection of the two ends will be different, one end of the transceiver to send 1310nm to receive 1550nm. The other end is the launch of 1550nm, receiving 1310nm.
So easy to distinguish between users, the general will use letters instead. There is A terminal (1310nm / 1550nm), B side (1550nm / 1310nm).
The user must use the AB pair to use. Do not connect AA or BB.
I believe everyone on the
XFP transceiver A, B letters have been very clear meaning, if you need more XFP transceiver information please visit:
